I’m recently widowed and trying to navigate this new life without my love. I have two beautiful, furry babies, and three delightful and busy human children who have flown the nest, so I figure it’s time for me to pursue my passions: cooking, writing, and travel. In that order. I realize that I’m far from alone in my pursuits, but I hope you’ll discover something a little different in the content of my blog.

A little note on my experience with food, I dragged my tired self through culinary school and graduated, with merit, in 2010 (before my oldest graduated high school). My ultimate goal has always been to open a cafe. Time will tell.

    Hi April,

I am beyond enchanted with your blog. Your recipes are divine and MAJOR Kudos for your photos. What kind of camera are you using? I can’t want to try the baguette with Serrano ham, pears, arugula and goat cheese. i have it planned for a hike with friends on Cheyenne Mountain on Sunday — should it stop raining in Colorado.

My only suggestion is to darken your font, or lighten your background to white so that it is easier to read.

I’m using your Cherry Coulis with Panna Cotta for the next Biosyntrx Tasty Tuesday recipe. I will make your blog live so I can drive our readers to your site.

Keep up the great work. Enjoy the beach and your new home.

    Warm regards,

    Ellen Troyer

      Hi Ellen,

Thank you for your kind comments, and I hope the sandwiches are a hit. It’s so nice to hear that someone’s enjoying my site 🙂

I was in the middle of working on my blog, and making changes, when everything went south with Roger’s health. As soon as I have a bit more free time, I’m going to begin tinkering with it once again. I appreciate all of your input! Thanks again.

      Warmest regards,
      April
